Search for the Sacred

In a wounded and noisy world, the voice of the Sacred can be difficult to find. We search high and low to find the Sacred which some of us call God, Allah, Spirit, Universe, the Ultimate Reality, Grace, the Divine Energy Presence, and so much more.

But what if the Sacred is already within? What if the Sacred does not want to be found but wants to find us instead, exactly where we are—in the chaos, in the winding road, in the stillness, in the depths of our soul?

I would like to think we are all monks in our own ways, in search for the Sacred within and around us. When we are able to meet the Sacred deep in our hearts, we show up to meet the Sacred wherever we may be. The world, then, becomes our monastery.

My name is Jo-ed. I’m a spiritual director, retreat giver, transpersonal psychology researcher, and self-professed monk. Come and have a retreat with me, wherever you are, whatever you’re doing. The sacred is within as much as it is everywhere and in everything.

We are in the sacred. We are the sacred.
